Angelo Daniel is going to the South African Junior Chess Championships!

Angelo DanielAngelo Daniel, does it again!! This past weekend Angelo participated in the KZN open tournament held in Glenwood. An open tournament allows a player to play any person even coaches and it is open to any age group.

Most player who take part are professional players and we are pleased to report that Angelo has scored 5 wins and 1 draw out of his 6 matches, making him the overall winner. He has won a further R1 500, KZN badge and trophy for his victory! Well done Angelo!

Angelo was chosen for the 2016 KZN team to take part at the South African Junior chess Championships from 16 to 23 December 2016 and we wish him all the best as he prepares for the championships. Great care was taken in selecting players who will represent KZN at the championships and it is the first time in 20 years that an high school student has made the squad.
